At IBT, our students are very important and we make every student a priority. The staff at IBT makes every effort to support and maintain close communication with each student. At IBT we have an open door policy; students enjoy full access to faculty and administrative staff for both academic and vocational advising. Students who require in-depth personal counseling will be referred to the appropriate services. If there is a special need for any student, our staff will make every effort to help or seek the counseling needed for each individual student, at any time! Electrician
Engineering & Skilled Trades - Electrical Technology
The Electrician program at IBT prepares students to begin an entry-level career in the electrical industry. Students learn electrical code, wiring installation, conduit bending, motors and transformer systems, as well as manual and electric industrial controls, and more. IBT’s program provides hands-on, practical training to give students real-world experience.
Graduates will be capable of working in residential and industrial maintenance environments, and will also be able to execute new construction electrical work. Graduates of IBT’s Electrician program will be prepared to test for the State of California Electrical Trainee (ET) certification.
Automotive Technology

HVAC requires skilled technicians capable and knowledgeable of many trades; IBT’s program teaches more than just an introduction to HVAC technology.
Just like Electricians, HVAC Technicians are in high demand! Because homes and businesses rely on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems to keep them comfortable, HVAC Technicians are critical and find themselves busy year-round in all parts of the country.
HVAC careers pay well too! Salary can vary widely by region and level of experience, but is generally comparable to an Electricians’ pay.
